Janice, Amy and Christine I am so sorry to hear belatedly of this terrible accident. My most sincere sympathies are extended to all of you collectively and individually. In your many years with the Elyria swim team, Gary was a dedicated,rational and hard working Dad. In short he was a respected friend. My thoughts are with each of you at this difficult time.
To Christine and Family, Christine I have very fond memories of your Dad from our swimming days together at the Elyria YMCA. Your Mom and Dad were great supporters and we always at our meets! Dear Janice, Christine, and Amy, My heart is saddened by the loss of your husband/dad. What a wonderful man with a quiet, gentle spirit who raised two beautiful daughters. I am grateful for the support he showed throughout Rick's college years; always at his football games cheering him on during what was a somewhat difficult time. Dear Mrs. Thompson and family, My deepest regrets in this time of sorrow. Gary was quite a gentleman in the truest sense. I had the pleasure of working with him and in those moments when he reflected on what gave him the drive to continue on every day, he spoke highly and lovelingly of his family. Amy & Family: I am so deeply sorrowful for your lost. Your Dad was a wonderful person, I respected and appreciated how he treated everyone. Remember Amy when you worked in Accts. I am truly sorry I did not get a chance to come to the Funeral Home yesterday, I was busy at church, but please tell your entire family this..Gary is still with us, in spirit and wonderful memories - after I got over the intial shock, I thanked GOD for allowing ME to know Gary.
