Georgia H. Kollias' Obituary
Georgia H. Kollias, age 75, of Lorain passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake.
She was born on October 7, 1946 in Prodomos, Greece to Ioannis and Maria Demou. She worked as a seamstress in Greece and moved to the United States in 1968.
She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Georgia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Christos Kollias; children, Demetra (Kosta) Kollias- Royannis, and Serafim (Sevasti) Kollias; and grandchildren, Christos and Zoe Royannis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ioannis and Maria Demou; and her brother, Kosta Demou.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 2000 Tower Blvd., Lorain, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Father Michael Gulgas will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
