Gerald Braun's Obituary
Gerald Braun, age 91, a lifelong resident of Amherst, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain. He was born on October 10, 1919 in Amherst, Ohio to the late Phillip and Catherine Braun.
Gerald was a loving husband, father,grandfather and great-grandfather; always helping his family, friends and neighbors. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. A special thank you to his nephew, John Balog.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances (nee Haas); daughters, Barbara Kobal and Nancy Seighman; grandchildren, Mike Kobal, Joanne See, Matt Kobal, Rob Seighman and Greg Seighman; great-grandchildren, Tyler See, Luke See, Justin See, Gracie Kobal, Brayden Kobal and Isabelle Seighman; sister, Phyllis Blackford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Catherine Braun; sisters, Althea Braun, Alberta Braun, Doris Conroy, Morrine Braun; and his brother, Morris Braun.
A private Memorial Mass for his immediate family and friends will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center.
