Gregory Weaver's Obituary
Gregory Weaver, age 65, of Sheffield Township, passed away at his home on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Greg was born on May 2, 1957 in Martin, KY but lived most of his life in the Lorain County area and is a 1976 graduate of Elyria West High School. After graduation he began his career at the Ford Motor Company, working various positions, for 30 years, finally retiring in 2014. He is a member of the UAW Local 2000, as well as the Beavercreek Sportsman’s Club and the Bolivar Sportsman’s Club.
Greg’s hobby was anything and everything to do with hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed participating in all the Turkey Shoots that he could. His most cherished hobby though, was spending time with his granddaughter and doing all of the “special” things that just the two of them would do. If he wasn’t out hunting, fishing, or being a grandpa, Greg enjoyed being a hot rod enthusiast, especially for his own, and riding his Harley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Paula S. (nee Eubank), daughter, Sarah Cox, of Lorain, granddaughter, Reagan Cox, his mother, Barbara (nee Moore), of Elyria, and his brother, Rick (LaDonna) Weaver, of Amherst.
Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Charles Weaver.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13th, from 4 to 8 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. His funeral service will be on Wednesday, at 10:00 am, also in the funeral center. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
