Greta Uldrich's Obituary
Greta J. Uldrich, (nee Johnson) age 78, of Amherst, passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 14, 1933 in Flatwoods, West Virginia to the late Dana and Edith Johnson. She graduated in 1952 from Sutton High School in Sutton, West Virginia.
Greta enjoyed doing and was very talented with ceramics. She also loved to crochet. Her favorite times were those spent with her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James; her sons, James., Jr., and Dan (Carolyn), both of Amherst; her daughters, Diana Uldrich, Dana (Chuck) Winiarski, Linda Uldrich, and Jeanie (Bruce) Petkovsek, all of Amherst; her grandchildren, and brothers, Bill Johnson, of Texas, John Johnson, of Amherst, Mike Johnson, of West Virginia, Tom Johnson, of Pennsylvania, Larry Johnson, of Amherst and Buddy Johnson, of West Virginia.
Besides her parents, Greta was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Johnson and her sisters, Joann James and Shirley Cogar.
The Uldrich Family will receive friends at a memorial gathering on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center; 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. A memorial service will take place immediately following the gathering at 12:00 noon in the funeral center. Pastor Dan Reinke, of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to New Life Hospice; 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
