Gwendolyn Jackson's Obituary
Gwendolyn (Mom) Jackson (77) passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 24, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late William and Temodes Arthur. She received her primary education in Birmingham. She was a faithful servant to Jehovah God. Mom loved people and spent years as a nursing assistant and child care provider. The children she cared for became family. Her love extended to the child’s whole family. Mom loved her family, children, playing cards and giving to others.
Mom will be missed by her children; Sharon (Davie) Henry, of Lorain, Edward Jackson Jr, of Louisville, Ky, Tracy (Terrance) Wilcoxson, of Lorain, Lisa (John) Schmidt of Lorain, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Angie (David) Brown, Quanita Seymore, Gina Henry, Ashley Henry, Marcus Jackson, Michael Jackson, Mya Jackson, Miles Jackson, Kierra Wilcoxson, Alyssa Jones, Shariah Board, Terrianna Jones, Aaliyah Board, Dasia Brown, Christopher Clayton, Davonte Brown, Davin Crockett, Jordan Clayton, Malachi Clayton, Laniya Jackson, Owen Jackson, Aiden Jackson and Alivia Fleming. She is also survived by her siblings; Celestine Arthur of New York, George (Margaret) Arthur, of Akron, Ohio, Debra Cobbs of Lorain, Melvin Arthur of Lorain. She is also survived by the friends who became family, Tonya (Michael) Anderson and grandsons, Michael Jr., Nile, Malik.
