Harrison "Harry" McHugh's Obituary
Harrison McHugh passed away on January 5th, 2023, at 3 ½ years old. Harry was born in Hinsdale, IL to parents, Matthew and Whitney (Roth) McHugh on May 10th, 2019 and absolutely stole their hearts. While he faced numerous medical challenges, Harry possessed an innate gift that allowed him to make anyone around him smile. He was a happy boy who loved snuggling, being around people, being pushed around in his wheelchair and looking at bright, colorful lights.
He is remembered by his parents, Matthew and Whitney McHugh, his maternal grandparents Martin and Jackie Roth, his aunt Rebeccah Roth, uncle Jacob Roth, and great-grandparents Tom and Sharon Austin and Maggie Roth. On his paternal side, Harry is remembered by his grandmother Judy McHugh and aunt Megan McHugh.
His family welcomes all to his Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 15th at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001. Visitation hours will start at 12pm, followed by a service at 2pm. His family hopes that attendees will wear bright colors to honor his memory- it is what he would have loved to see. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to RePlay for Kids, UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital (Family and Child Life Services), or the Hinsdale Hospital NICU.
