Helen Falencki's Obituary
Helen Falencki (nee Dudzic), age 78, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.
Born on February 23, 1931 in Lorain, she resided here her entire life. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1949.
Helen worked for the Lorain School System in the administration department and later in food service.
She also was employed by Margie's Hallmark in Lorain.
Proud of her Polish heritage, she was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church and now currently a member of the Church of St. Peter.
Her favorite activities include cooking and baking, as well as gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; her daughters, Linda (Jim) Focareto, of St. Louis, Missouri and Carolyn (Ernie) Falasco, of Sheffield Village; 6 grandchildren, John, Brad, Morgan, Ashley, Ernie and Carla; and her sister Stella Jurczynski, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Anna Dudzic.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 2-6 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Peter, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
