Irene Agnes Moorman's Obituary
Irene Agnes Moorman was born on September 1, 1935 in New York City, New York to Joseph and Anna Simulcik. Irene passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at New Life Hospice.
She graduated from Lorain High School in 1953 and made her career as an administrative assistant for over 38 years. Irene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst, the Polish Club, Slovak Home and the Eagles.
Dancing, music, cooking, exercising and gardening were activities that Irene enjoyed. She also was a sports fan and liked to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Indians. Her greatest joy was her 2 grandchildren that she absolutely adored.
Irene is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph; daughters, Marie Zocolo, of Twinsburg and Monica (Nicolas) Ciavarella, of North Royalton; grandsons, Anthony and Alec Ciavarella; brother, Joseph Simulcik, of Amherst; sister, Helen Wozarik, of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd. at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive. (Everyone please meet at Church) Rev. Father Michael Denk, will officiate. Private family inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
