He was born on May 20, 1943 in Avon Lake, where he lived for about 40 years. When he met his wife 30 years ago, is when he moved to Elyria. Jack was a truck driver for Schuster’s Greenhouse for many years. He also was a “handy-man” for odd jobs at various apartment complexes within the area. Jack enjoyed hunting, golfing, and going to car races. He lovingly devoted most of his time to caring for his wife.
Jack is survived by his wife of 30 years, Iris J. Hogan, his daughters; Linda Foreman, Judy (Tim) Ehrke, and Dana (John Gonos) Litzendorf, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a brother, Gary Waters. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and all of his extended family in Bedford, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth M. and Charlotte S. (nee Trivanovich) Waters, sons; Rick Hogan and Mike Mayhew, and 3 brothers; Clifford, Kenneth, and Gordon.
Private family services will be held. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Because of his love for animals, especially the family dog, “Casey”, the family suggests contributions in his memory be sent to The Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
