Jacob Shroyer's Obituary
Jacob Neal Shroyer, age 31, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 2, 2012.
Born on April 8, 1981 in Elyria, he resided most of his life in Grafton. He attended Midview High School.
Jake was a car enthusiast from driving to fixing them. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
He attended Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Grafton.
He is survived by his mother, Crystal Hervey (nee McGraw), of Vermilion; his father, Clayton Shroyer, of Grafton; his step-father, Charles Hervey, of North Ridgeville; his sisters, Tiffany (Bill) Bowes, of Grafton, and Danielle (Ben) Firem, of Twinsburg; his brothers, Josh Shroyer, of Grafton and Charles Hervey, of Vermilion; maternal grandmother, Iona Hervey (nee McGraw), of Spencer; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Helen Shroyer, of Grafton; 2 nieces; 2 nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Oscar McGraw.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Graveside services will immediate follow at 3:45 p.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Bishop James Wells and Pastor Joseph Ford will co-officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in his memory to the funeral center.
