Jacqueline Mary Urban's Obituary
Jacqueline Mary Urban, of Lorain, passed away February 11, 2026. She was born July 31, 1947 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Leo and Rosemary (née Ditrich) Zocchi.
A lifelong Lorain resident, Jacqueline graduated from Admiral King High School, Class of 1965 and retired from the City of Lorain as a lab technician from the water purification department. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lorain and treasured time spent at the casino with her beloved husband, Nick. She was a proud and loving supporter of her children’s sporting events and cherished the many special memories made during family camping trips. Jacqueline also enjoyed sewing and quilting, loved shopping, and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving children, Jason Daniels (Lena) and Brian Daniels; stepchildren, Nicholas Urban IV and Deborah Poyle (Brian); daughter-in-law, Wendy Daniels; and loving sister Cindy Zocchi (Craig Harding). She was the cherished grandmother of Samuel Moore (Stephanie), Seth Daniels, Natalia Daniels, Maxwell Daniels, Isabella Daniels, Tony Poyle, Michelle Daniels, and Massimo Daniels, and the proud great-grandmother of three.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Urban III; her son, Michael Daniels; and her siblings, Phyllis Cullen and Donald Zocchi.
Family and friends may call Monday, February 16 from 6:00–8:00 PM at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 17 at 12:00 Noon, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of Mass, at St. Peter's Catholic Parish, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, OH 44053. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
