Although I didn't see him often, I'm very fond of Uncle Jim. Remembering the times when the family was all together - regardless of the occasion...funeral, wedding, Thanksgiving - and the love and support everyone had for each other during those times will remain with me always.
When I lost my mother, Uncle Jim sent me an email that was so nice. I saved it in my "family" folder. Here's what he said:
"So sorry to hear of your loss. Loosing my parents was a big blow to me and I'm sure it's equally painful for you."
He went on to talk about how important parents are to children, and I couldn't agree more.
I'll close with Uncle Jim's closing words to me in that email:
"Hang in there."
Love,
Chad
