James E. Serfozo's Obituary
James E. Serfozo, age 62, of Wellington passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center following a brief illness.
He was born July 17, 1955 in Lorain, Ohio to Andrew and Helen (nee Bilsky) Serfozo.
James graduated from Lorain High School in 1973 and continued his education at Lorain County Community College earning his Associates Degree. He made his career as an Engineer with the Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 2015. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Church, Lorain and loved his family and gardening.
James is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janis (nee Bloomfield); sons, Andrew (Rachel Forthofer), Serfozo, of North Ridgeville, and Larry Serfozo, of Bowling Green; sister, Marilyn (Rex) Burlingham, of Perry; father and mother-law, Sheldon and Sheila Bloomfield; brother-in-law, David (Carmen) Bloomfield; sisters-in-law, Tobi Biddle, and Lisa Pogan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Helen; and his brother, David Serfozo.
Private family funeral services will be held.
