Jamie P Contreras' Obituary
Jamie P. Contreras, age 43, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014.
Born on December 3, 1970, Jamie attended Lorain High School.
For many years he worked as a cement finisher at various concrete companies, most recently having worked for Baxter Concrete.
Jamie had such a wonderful personality, he was funny, kind and had a huge heart. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball on summer leagues.
Jamie is survived by his sons, Jordan and Chase; his daughters, Madysin and Skylar; and his loving parents, who will miss him forever, Fernando “Pete”, of Lorain and Sue (Larry) Nagy, of Florence Twp.; his loving companion, Shelly Huhn; brothers, Tony, of Sheffield Lake, Joey (Tina) of Taylorsville, KY, Jonathan, of Lorain and David Rebok, of Lorain; his paternal grandmother, Ernesta Contreras, of Lorain and his maternal grandmother, Irene Nemeth, of Sheffield Lake.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Fernando Contreras, his maternal grandfather, Barney Nemeth; his uncle, Bob Nemeth; his aunt, Cathy Nemeth; his nephew, Brandon Contreras and his cousin, Shane Sturtevant.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 5:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Funeral services will be conducted by Deacon Lou Maldonado.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
