Janet A Vislosky's Obituary
Janet A. Vislosky, age 83, of Lorain passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born on August 17, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio to Steven and Mary Zuby. Janet graduated from Lakewood High School. She worked as a clerk for 19 years for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
Janet was a very active member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, in Lorain. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, needlepoint and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas; daughter, Stephanie Lukes; grandchildren, Neil (Chelsey) Vislosky, Gary (Mikayla) Vislosky, and Shawn Vislosky; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Jackson, and Ian Vislosky.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Mary Zuby; and siblings, Richard Zuby, Conrad Zuby, and Mary Zuby.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Panachida services will be held in the funeral center at 9:30 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th. Street, Lorain. Rev. Father Nicholas Rachford, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
