Janette R. Ganobsek's Obituary
Janette R. Ganobsek went to her Lord, Savior, and Spouse on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Rock, of Lorain, Rose Priesler, of Fountain Valley, CA; brother, Richard (Lynn) Ganobsek, of Fruitland Park, Florida; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
Janette was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Agnes (nee Banaski) Ganobsek; and her siblings, Eugene Ganobsek, Gregory Ganobcik, Emil Ganobsek, Mary Louise Lynch, Kathy Ganobsek, Dennis Ganobsek. and Diane Trebonik; and her great-great niece, Lillian.
She spent her life serving others by teaching in Elementary Schools for 39 years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She taught in the Cleveland area for 22 years. The other 17 years were at Douglas Elementary in Miami, Florida, where she retired from in 1999.
Janette enjoyed reading, gardening, oil painting (in her younger years) and volunteering at Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 715 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake, OH 44054. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father Stephen L. Shields, Pastor will officiate along with Deacon William G. Elwer, of St. Jude Parish. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
