Jayne L. Strausser's Obituary
Jayne L. Strausser (nee Lewis), age 88, of Lorain, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
She was born on January 11, 1929, in Lorain, Ohio. Jayne attended Lorain High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jayne enjoyed crocheting, doing her jigsaw puzzles, watching ice hockey, and the Cleveland Indians.
Jayne will be dearly missed by her children; Jaylee (Joseph) Campana, of Lorain, Charles J. (Karen), of Lorain, Carol Sanchez, of North Ridgeville, and Wayne (Carol) Strausser, of Mebane, North Carolina, Grandchiildren; James A. Trifiletti, Charles J. and Stanley Strausser, Edgar Sanchez, Jr., Joshua Strausser, Jeremiah Strausser, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles J., her parents; Earl and Edna (Lee) Lewis, sister, Ruth Smith, grandson, Joseph Trifiletti, and granddaughter, Tammy Strausser.
The family will receive friends for Mass for both Jayne and her husband, Charles, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, at 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Fr. Timothy O’Conner, Pastor, will officiate. They will be buried together at Calvary Cemetery, following Mass. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu in flowers, the family suggests contributions in Charles and Jayne’s memory, be made to New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio, 44053.
