Jearld L. Lewis' Obituary
Jearld L. Lewis, age 72, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Fairview Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on June 11, 1944 in Webster County, West Virginia to Charlie and Anna Lewis.
Jearld worked as an electrician with American Ship Yards for 19 years. He then went on to work as a custodian for VGS at the Route 2 rest stop in Vermilion.
He enjoyed going to different Flea Markets and yard sales, tinkering with clocks, hunting and guns.
Jearld is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lorena (nee Knight); children, Randy (Diana) Lewis of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lisa Lewis, of Lorain, and Julie Lewis, of Lorain; grandchildren, Thomas, Anthony and Aleesa Lewis; brothers, Jackie, Joe, and Jerry Lewis; sisters, Beaulah Bragg, Betty Harper, Bonnie Meadows, Bertha Meadows, and Brenda Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Anna; brothers, Jim, Junior, and Johnny Lewis.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 15, 2107 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
