Jeffery Homler's Obituary
Jeffery A. Homler, age 36, of Lorain, died on Sunday, June 27, 2010.
He was born on March 13, 1974 in Sandusky, Ohio. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1992. Jeff has resided in Lorain for the last 10 years with his wife and children.
Jeffery proudly joined the United States Marines in 1992. He completed his boot camp training prior to his high school graduation and therefore was able to have the honor of attending his graduation ceremony in his Marine Dress Blues uniform. He served in the military until 1998 and had the rank of sergeant.
For the past 7 ½ years, he worked as a network professional in the IT Department of All State Insurance Company in Hudson. Being a dedicated family man, Jeff enjoyed spending his free time with his family. He also enjoyed working on computers.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle (nee Vanover); his son, Logan, at home; his step-daughter, Ashley Nibert and step-son, Dylan Nibert, both at home; his parents, Arlin and Linda (nee Orshoski) Gruhlke, of Lorain; his brother, William (wife – Brooke) Gruhlke, of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews.
The family invites friends to gather on Saturday, July 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, OH, where a memorial service and celebration of Jeff’s life will take place at 12:00 noon. Full military honors will also be conducted.
