My condolences. I did not know Jeffrey, however, my son is also in the Ohio National Guard (out of Columbus,) but lives near Akron. He is just 3 years older than Jeffrey. I was looking for someone else when I came upon his obituary. So, this hits me a bit hard. My son is in Jordan/Syria for a year long deployment and has already serve a year in Afghanistan. As you probably know, i worry every day about his safe return. the article does not mention whether or not Jeffrey's passing was service related or not but that doesn't really matter, he still serve and I thank him for that. The fact is, he was willing to give up his life for his country and he sounded like a great person. You should be proud and I am truly sorry for your loss.
