Jeffrey Uehlein's Obituary
Jeffrey Uehlein, age 47, of Sheffield Lake passed away unexpectedly from an unknown medical issue on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
He was born on January 21, 1969 in Lorain, Ohio to Paul and Cynthia (nee Nagel) Uehlein and graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1987.
Jeff was employed for the last 5 years by Republic Services. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and landscaping. He loved the outdoors and cherished the times he spent with his father and son in Cook Forest, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Uehlein; step-son, Daniel (Carry) Robinson; mother, Cynthia Uehlein; sister, Melissa (Jason) Kowal; nephew, Nicholas Kowal; niece, Alexandrea Kowal; and step-granddaughter, Lila; and his longtime companion, Dawn Sklarek.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Paul; and his grandparents, Jim and Mabel Nagel and Allen and Dorothy Uehlein.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
