My sympathy to all who knew Jerry. I met and worked with him in 2012 at The Military Order of the World Wars Huntsville Youth Leadership Conference. As a member of the then Cleveland Chapter, he helped sponsor and chaperoned 2 students to the Huntsville YLC as well as supporting the Spirit of America Youth Leadership program some of which he did as an MOWW member. It was a pleasure and honor to know Jerry. Rest in peace, my friend.

I remember the birthday parties for his beloved grandchildren, Cassie and Justice and that Jerry and I both shared August 5th birthdays. Papa Brove was an extremely special person. Growing up, he took me on a trip every summer. I was always excited to learn where we were going next whether it was a leadership conference at space camp, whale watching in Alaska, horse back riding at a dude ranch, visiting my cousins in Kentucky, or road-tripping through Italy. He always used this time to teach me something new and create life long memories through experiences. He was always up for a good laugh, often gifting shoeboxes full of hotel soap bars and other trinkets he collected from his travels. I will never forget his smile and laugh. I will always hold my memories with him close to my heart <3
