Jim May's Obituary
Jim May, age 75, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017, in his home while surrounded by his family.
Jim was born on March 26, 1942, in Cleveland to Donald and Dorothy (nee Weber) May. Jim proudly served our Country in the United States Army for 4 years.
Jim was said to be a Jack of all Trades, with his passion being Auto Repair, Wood Working, and getting himself, and everyone else, into trouble. Jim had an amazing gift for sharing his knowledge and talents with everyone he came across. He spent many years of enjoyment building racecars, fishing, camping, traveling, gambling, and spending time with his ‘Little People.’
Survivors include his wife and soul mate Jenny (nee Richlin) of 34 unforgettable years; children: Char Simonson of Lakewood, Deb (Mike) Babet of North Ridgeville, and Jimmy (Melissa) May of Lorain; his 7 grand children: Liam, Quinton, Jack, Kai, Shamiao, James and Carter; his nieces and nephews: Chris, Kim, Keith, Mic, Jordyn, and Justin; his great nieces and nephews; Emily, Cait, Lauren, Noah, Spencer, Olivia, and Grady; his sister-in-laws: Nancy May, who was also his lifelong wingman, Pam (Steve) Dillon, and Kathi (Rick) Sulenski.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother Denny, whom he was ‘the most awesome big brother’ to, and his brother-in-law Mike Richlin.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 4, from One to Four pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
