Joan Dunick's Obituary
Joan Dunick (nee Murawski), age 74, of Lorain, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 12, 1935 in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania. Joan had been a resident of Lorain since 1969 moving from Pennsylvania. She was employed as a sales associate for May Co. and Kaufmann's Departments stores for over 20 years, retiring in 1992.
Joan liked spending her time crocheting, baking and making pierogies. She loved shopping and Amish country. She was a member of TOPS. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Joan is survived by her husband, of 50 years, Michael Dunick; daughter, Kimberly (Michael McClellon) Dunick, of Lorain; grandson, David(Crystal) Burns; great-grandson, Tyler Burns; brother, Albert (Jane) Murawski, of Florida; sister, Rose Ann (Steve) Voloshin, of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Mary (nee Pandy) Murawski; twin sister, Jean Battista; granddaughter, Kristina Burns and nephew, Robert Battista.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon following the visitation in the funeral center. Interment will be in Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. following the service.
