John M. Eldred's Obituary
John M. Eldred, age 90, of Elyria, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born on October 3, 1932 in Grey Eagle, MN. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1955. After serving in the Air Force John moved to Ohio, where he worked at TRW as manager of field service for over 40 years, finally retiring in 1990. John enjoyed camping and attending his granddaughter’s sporting events where he always cheered her on enthusiastically.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Tim Church) Eldred Church; his granddaughter, Kathryn Marie of Elyria; and his siblings, Ron (Marylou) Eldred of Osakis, MN, Judy (Bob) Gregoire of Vermillion SD, and Kay (Dick) Wagner of Alexandria, MN.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jean (nee Dohanyos) Eldred and his parents, Marion and Valerian (nee Bluth) Eldred.
