John "Jack" C. Kasper's Obituary
John C. "Jack" Kasper II., age 69, a lifelong resident of Henrietta Township, passed away March 31, 2016 under the care of New Life Hospice and surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 14, 1946 in Amherst to John and Helen. Jack faithfully served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he was the recipient of the Bronze Star and two Purple Heart medals. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and he enjoyed vacationing with his family in the Outer Banks. Nothing was more important to Jack than his family and the time they all shared together. He was truly loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. Jack is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jeanne (nee Vahue); children, John C. III (Susan), Lindsey and Eric Kasper; grandchildren, Taylor, Daniel, J.C., and Tessa; sisters, Dorothy Collins (Layne, deceased) and Mary Lewis (Don) ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen (nee Buckholz) and his son, Jerrett Kasper. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2:00 - 5:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
