Jose Antonio Feliciano's Obituary
Jose Antonio Feliciano, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his home at the age of 75. Born on September 22, 1948, in Lares, Puerto Rico, Jose's life was marked by dedication, love, and a profound sense of family.
Jose graduated from Southview High School and embarked on a remarkable 31-year career at Ford Motor Company, where his commitment and hard work were evident to all who knew him. Upon his retirement in 1998, he left behind a legacy of diligence and integrity.
Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Chapel, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. His faith guided him in all aspects of his life. Additionally, he was a member of the UAW 425 and Hispanic Leadership.
In his leisure time, Jose found joy in simple pleasures, such as playing solitaire, taking mall walks, and indulging in Taco Bell dates with his grandchildren. However, nothing brought him more happiness than dancing to salsa music with Margaret and spending cherished moments with his grandchildren. His love and devotion to his family were unwavering and brought light to all who knew him.
Jose is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Feliciano, his children David Leyva, Margie Leyva, Frank Leyva, Rick St. Clair, Luis Feliciano, and Lydia Swim, along with 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Lydia Perez Morales, and nine siblings. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Antonio Feliciano, and two brothers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, March 15th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave., Lorain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Jose Antonio Feliciano will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be cherished and remembered. May he rest in peace.
