Jose A Montijo's Obituary
Jose A. Montijo (Cano), born on January 11, 1947, in Utuado, Puerto Rico passed away at the age of 74 at UH Elyria Medical Center on Friday, December 3, 2021. Jose was a gentle soul who will be greatly missed by the Montijo and Velez families. May he rest in peace.
Jose is survived by his brothers; Jorge Montijo, and Anibal Montijo, both residing in Puerto Rico; many nieces and nephews on the Montijo side of the family; also survived by the Velez family; Carmen, Margarita, Gloria, Migdalia, Honey, and Jose Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bautista Montijo and Rita Montijo Gonzalez; and siblings, Pedro Montijo, Carmelo Montijo, Enreque Montijo, Iris Montijo, and Carmen Velez.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave., Lorain, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Father William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
