Joseph G. Marincin's Obituary
Joseph Gerald Marincin, age 83, of Lorain passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Amherst Manor under the care of Wellspring Hospice. He was born on November 13, 1940 to John and Mary Marincin and was a lifelong resident of Lorain. He graduated from Lorain High School class of 1959-A. Joseph was a United Auto Worker for Ford Motor Company, Lorain Assembly and retired after 35 years of service in 1994.
He enjoyed Walleye fishing and golfing with his friends and family. He liked working in his yard and maintaining his beautiful landscaping. He and his wife, Carol, liked to travel, especially to Florida to see his daughters and their families. Joseph also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol (nee Skolnicki) Marincin; children, Joseph G. (Mary) Marincin, of Elyria, Michelle Stepp, of Cape Coral, FL, Lisa (Keith) Nalepka, of North Fort Myers, FL, Trisha (Mark) Kuhn, of Cape Coral, FL, Christine Caruso, of Avon Lake, and Daniel C. (Kimberly) Smith, of Amherst; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and his brother, John (Faye) Marincin, of Palm Harbor, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Marincin; sister, Helen Wells; and his brother, Steve Marincin.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
