Joseph J. Yakovich, age 88, of Lorain, passed away at Elmcroft Senior Living Community, Lorain, on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
The youngest of five children, Joe was born on November 7, 1927 in Mather, PA. While Joe was in High School, he excelled in basketball and baseball. After Joe retired from US Steel, he went to work for his oldest son, Jeff, for a few hours a day, which he really enjoyed. Joe and Roe loved to travel and were fortunate enough to do so often.
Joe was a wonderful husband and an equally wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed dearly.
