Josephine R. Keathley's Obituary
Josephine R. Keathley (nee Richardson), age 72, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
Josephine was born in Haddix, Kentucky on May 1, 1942 to the late Earl and Peggy Richardson. In 1956, she came to Lorain and has resided here since.
She attended Believer’s Spoken Word Tabernacle in Sheffield. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, collecting antiques and going to church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Herbert; her son; David, of Lorain; her daughters, Rita Newbraugh, of Mount Eden, KY, Robin (Charles) Whitlock, of Lorain and Theresa (Troy) Newman, of Lorain; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Oritas Borro and Ruby MacDougall and her brother, Marshal Richardson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Pastor Samuel Browning will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
