Joyce Ann Murphy's Obituary
Joyce Ann Murphy, 82, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a long illness on July 24, 2026, in North Ridgeville, Ohio. She was born on August 16, 1943, to the late Leonard and Anna (nee Riddell) Baum.
Joyce lived a life centered family and togetherness. While she found joy in traveling, visiting the ocean, taking cruises, golfing, playing volleyball, swimming, camping, and cooking, her greatest happiness was found in sharing those moments with the people she loved most.
She was a beautiful example of selfless love and unwavering kindness. Joyce was a doting mother who treasured every opportunity to be present in her children's lives, proudly volunteering as a room mother and creating a home filled with warmth and unconditional support. As her family grew, she embraced her role as grandmother with the same boundless devotion, becoming a constant source of comfort, encouragement, and joyful memories for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest legacy will forever be the love she poured into her family, whose lives are richer because of her gentle presence.
She is survived by her beloved husband Regis Murphy of 65 beautiful years; loving children Leonard (Pam) Murphy and Shelly (Tony) Niehart; treasured grandchildren Megan Murphy, Christie (Paul) Dolce, Anthony (Jenni) Niehart, Timothy (Dacia) Niehart, Nicholas Niehart, Dillon (Kara) Murphy, and Drew Murphy; and six cherished great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Mark Murphy and her sister Darla Withrow.
Private services will be held. Interment will take place at Ridge Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
