Juan Nieves' Obituary
Juan Nieves, age 65, of Lorain left this temporary earthly world on Monday, November 13, 2017 to be forever with his heavenly father our Lord. His departure was sudden but his memories everlasting.
Juan had many interests in his life and after retiring, spent more time with all the hobbies he loved which included gardening, cooking, shopping; especially at Jamie’s Flea Market, camping and vacationing. Woodworking, tinkering and inventing were a past time between his regular hobbies. Working for Ford Motor Company for 28 years fed his true passion for cars and trucks. He was a long-time member of Sacred Heart where he married Nelaida and baptized his babies. Juan’s biggest joy was his love for family and friends.
Juan is survived by his loving and loyal wife Nelaida of 39 years; his twins, Jose (Marcellena) of Virginia, and Juan (Nicole) of Lorain; grandchildren, Jose Jr., Santana, Yamilete, Emilio, & Valentino; Sisters, Vilma Melendez of Lorain, Nora (Tom) Purdon of Medina, Rosa Maria Nieves of Guajataca, PR, Lucy Nieves, Arecibo, PR, and Lilly Nieves, Quebradilla, PR, Brothers; Jesus Nieves, Guajataca, PR, Juan Ramon, Quebradilla, PR, Angel Luis, Elyria, and Luis Nunez, Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his mother Esther Melendez, father Juan Nieves, and sister Carmen Nieves.
The family with receive friends on Friday, November 17, from 4 to 8pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. An hour visitation will be held at 8:30am on Saturday, November 18, At Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave, Lorain where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30am.
