Judith Naymik's Obituary
Judith P. “Judy” Naymik (nee Snyder) 83, of Amherst Township passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at her home surrounded by family while under the care of Mercy New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness. She was born May 28, 1935 in Bellevue, Ohio and lived in Lorain for 63 years.Judy was a member of Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Lorain where she volunteered in the kitchen preparing baked goods for church sales. She was a 1955 graduate of Belleview High School and worked for the telephone company before her marriage to Michael Naymik 63 years ago.Judy dedicated her life to raising her family and had a large circle of friends who cherished her caring manner.Survivors include her husband, Michael; a brother, James (Carol) Snyder; and her sons, Michael “Jay” (Mary), Jeffrey (Georgiana) and Kenneth (partner Tony Romoli); grandchildren, Megan (Mark) Dennison, Michael (Marissa) Naymik, Nicholas Naymik, Stephanie Naymik, Brett Naymik, Scott Naymik and Jack Naymik; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Harriet (nee Hanson) Snyder; a sister, Patricia; and a sister in law, Carol Snyder.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Parastas will be held at 5:00 pm. Panachida will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday in the funeral center followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain. Rev. Jan Crizmar will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
