Judith Steffani's Obituary
Judith Rae Steffani (nee Shibley), age 71, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Judith was born on January 19, 1939 in Lorain, Ohio to Valloyd and Dorothy Shibley. She attended Lorain High School. She married her husband, Alfonso, in 1963, and moved to Elyria.
She was employed for 28 years by the City of Elyria as a school bus driver. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Elyria.
Judith enjoyed sewing, riding her bicycle with her nephew, golf, shopping, The Cleveland Indians and of course her pets.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alfonso Steffani Jr. “Al”; sister, Darlyn Heim, of Norwalk; brother, Sonny (Ann) Shibley, of Sheffield Lake; step-brothers, Keith (Lee) Lance, of Vermilion and Warren Lance, of Florida; nieces, Deborah Luginbuhl, of Bellevue and Tamara Heim, of Norwalk; nephews, Donald (Deb) Skodny, of Norwalk and Timothy (Jill) Heim, of Milan; great-nephews, Corey, Jacob, Brandon, Nate, Daniel, Coty, Cy and Zachary; and 6 great-great-nieces; best friend, Lois Gilden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Valloyd and Dorothy (nee Baker) Shibley and her grandparents.
The Steffani Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor, William Burkett of Redeemer Lutheran Church, of Elyria, will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
