Judy A. Balogh's Obituary
Judy A. Balogh, 76, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Anchor Lodge Skilled Nursing Facility after a brief illness. Born on July 6, 1948, in Lorain, Judy was a lifelong resident of the city she loved.
A 1967 graduate of Admiral King High School, Judy went on to build a distinguished career at US Steel, where she worked as a pipefitter and proudly served as a member of the Local #1104. During the 1980s, she even took on the role of President for her union, a testament to her leadership and dedication to her fellow workers.
Judy's deep connection to her roots was reflected in her early years as a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in South Lorain. Throughout her life, her family remained her greatest pride and joy. She adored her nieces and nephews and was always there for them, offering unwavering love and support.
In her free time, Judy loved to travel. Some of her favorite memories included her trip to Russia and visiting Niagara Falls, where she enjoyed the beauty and adventure that travel brought her.
Those who knew Judy will remember her for her heart of gold, always putting others first and bringing warmth to the lives of everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who loved her. May she rest in peace.
Judy is survived by her siblings, Bonnie White, of Vermilion, Pam (Bill) Roth, of Wakeman, Frank Balogh, of Avon Lake, Dar Turizziani (BJ) of Berlin Heights, Linda Reyes (Tony dec) Lorain, her beloved nieces & nephews, Regina, Michelle, Frank Jr., Michael, Lindsey, Brian and Monica. She is also survived by her great nieces & great nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory & Margaret (nee Ach) Balogh, by siblings. Gregory Jr. (Broth). Char Zajac (Frank dec) nephew Jerry White and niece, Tara Balogh.
