June A "Judy" Zvosecz's Obituary
June A. “Judy” Zvosecz (nee Flaherty), age 85, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home.
She was born on January 3, 1933 to Leroy and Lillian (nee Beam) Flaherty. Judy was a 1950 graduate of Lorain St. Mary’s High School.
Judy was a homemaker who enjoyed camping and attending little league baseball games that her husband Joe coached. She also liked to travel and spend time with her many relatives. In her later years, Judy liked hearing from her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Joseph, of, Ironwood, MI, John (Mary Theresa), of Lorain, and Jim (Beverly), of, Amherst; grandchildren, Dr. Nicole (Dr. Dan) Carmichael, Katie (Sam Stoddard) Zvosecz, Zachary Zvosecz, Alexandria Zvosecz, Dorothy Zvosecz, Lillian Zvosecz, and Julia Zvosecz; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph V. Zvosecz, in 2012; parents, Leroy and Lillian Flaherty; and brothers, James Francis Flaherty, Paul Patrick Flaherty, and William J. Flaherty, and her sister, Mary Ellen Simonovich.
The Zvosecz family will receive friends on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at on Saturday, March 10th. at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 309 W. 7th. Street, Lorain, Ohio. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) Rev. Father James Becherer will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
