Justina Lopez's Obituary
Justina Lopez, (nee Ortiz), age 72, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her home while under the care of New Life Hospice.
Born on July 19, 1942 in Coamo, Puerto Rico, Justina came to Lorain in the mid 1950’s.
She worked for Lorain Towel Supply, Joseph and Feiss in Lorain and Cleveland, and most recently at Lorain County Automotive Systems for about 15 years.
Justina was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and gardening, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her son, Tony (Sheila), of Sheffield Lake; her daughter, Bruni (Vazquez) Lopez, of Lorain; her grandchildren, Brittany (fiancé Corey Rosso), Kayla, and Justin Lopez (Amanda Cox); her brothers, Luis (Blanca) Ortiz, of Lorain and William (Teresa) Marrero, of Lorain; and her sisters, Lucilla Ortiz, of Lorain, and Concepcion (Hector) Rodriguez, of Huron.
Justina was preceded in death by her parents, Higinio and Isabel Ortiz, and her brother, Jose Ortiz.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral center. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
