Karen J. Sandor's Obituary
Karen J. Sandor (nee White), age 80, of Lorain, passed away on May 20, 2023 after a few months of illness.
Karen, one of 9 children, was born on September 29, 1942 in Whitmer, WV. Her family moved to Fairport Harbor, OH when she was young. In 1960 she met her husband, Raymond J. Sandor, while working as a counter waitress at Woolworth and then married on May 27, 1961. They had three children; Annetta Ratliff, Pamela (James) Lincicome and Michael S. (Isabel Rodriguez) Sandor.
Karen worked as a secretary for Coates Brothers Roofing and LOCAR for many years. She and her husband took and taught dancing lessons, participated in bowling leagues, traveling to new places and always enjoyed their time with the family. She was a matriarch of the family and taught them how to bake, can, sew, craft and garden. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart that she shared with her friends and family and for always being kind to everyone she met.
Karen is survived by her husband, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and her siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey & Pinkney Annette (nee Weiford) White, her sister, Debra White, a brother, Jack White and a grandson, Jonathan Lincicome.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25th, 2023 from 4 – 7 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
