Kathleen L. Wolford's Obituary
Kathleen L. Wolford (nee Schuck), 69, of Lorain, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, following short illness.
Born July 29, 1947 in Lorain, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1965.
Kathy worked at Davidson Audit in Lorain for several years. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Lorain, and the St. Anthony Marian Guild. She was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary and past member of the Lofton Henderson Marine Corp League Auxiliary and Amvets Auxiliary. She had been very active in the Lorain Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary and volunteered at Lorain Catholic High School and Nativity School.
Kathy was an avid traveler and enjoyed bingo and taking gambling trips.
Surviving is her son, James of Lorain; daughter, Justine Wolford of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandson, James Wolford III; a brother, Thomas Schuck of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Louise (nee Price) Schuck; and a brother, James Schuck.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where funeral services will be Thursday at 9:15 am followed by mass at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
