Keaton "Keat" Sagert's Obituary
Keaton J. “Keat” Sagert, age 22, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020.
He was born on March 4, 1998. He attended St. Joseph’s School from kindergarten through 8th grade and is a 2016 graduate of Vermilion High School. He is a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Amherst and was part-owner of the business, My Painter CLE. Keaton was quite the young entrepreneur with the final destination to get rich.
Keat enjoyed shopping, but not just any shopping. He was known for and always had to have designer labels from head to foot. The more expensive, the more appealing to him it was. He was also into music and traveling, especially to New York City. And, he loved his dog, “Lola” like she was his daughter.
He can be best described as genuine and he was real. Everyone who was friends with him was more than a friend. They were family – his “brothers.” His contagious laugh and smile could take him anywhere. He had such a beautiful and loving soul, always willing to help anyone at any time and everywhere.
He is survived by his parents; Jessica Sagert & Rob Stipe, brothers; Tristin and Grady Stipe, sister, Marley Stipe, grandmother, Carol Tipton, his aunts; Gloria Sabo, Rachel Tipton, Sally Sagert, and Marsha Kandrac, his uncle Sam Tipton, as well as many cousins, especially his “fav” cousin, Megan Rehm. Keaton is also survived by the love of his life, Eileen “Leen” Donovan.
He was preceded in death by so many young ones who fought the same battles. He would encourage anyone who was struggling to never give up.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August16, from 12 – 5 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. His Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
