Keith Faria's Obituary
Keith Faria, age 39, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013. He was born on March 30, 1973 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Kenneth and Carla Faria.
In 1991, upon his high school graduation, Keith enlisted with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1999. While serving in the Air Force he attended and graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1998. He made his career as an Air Traffic Controller in Pennsylvania, Indiana, California and most recently for Cleveland Air Route Traffic Control Center in Oberlin, Ohio for the past 11years.
He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, singing, and the playing the guitar and piano. Spending time with his wife, Tara and children, Iris and Karson is what was most important to Keith. He adored his family.
Keith is survived by his wife, Tara; daughter, Iris; son, Karson; mother, Carla Faria, of Florida father, Kenneth (Mercedes) Faria, of Florida; brother, Kenneth Faria; sisters, Denise (James)Lee, Belinda Crank and Lorraine(Lee) Lobo; grandfather, Keith Helm; mother-in-law, Barb (James) Carlson, of Minnesota; father-in-law, James (and the late Pennie) Olson, of Georgia; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katherine Helm.
The Faria family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 4:00- 7:15 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral center. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
