Kelly "Kel" Tressel's Obituary
Kelly “Kel” R. Tressel (nee Romes), age 45, of Lorain, passed away on Saturday, July 14.
She was born on May 15, 1973 in Lorain, where she lived her entire life. She is a 1991 graduate of Lorain High School. Right after graduation, she went to work at Joyce Buick, in their service department, where she was employed currently. Kelly devoted her life and loved nothing more than being a wife and a mom. She was happiest when she was doing everything and anything with her husband and son. Kelly always enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband and being out on the water, on the jet-ski, with her son.
She is going to be dearly missed by her high school sweetheart and husband, whom she spent 30 years with and married for 24 of those years, Keith W. Tressel and their son, Justin. Kelly is also survived by her parents, Gerald M. and Renee E. (nee Ruth) Romes, of Lorain, her siblings; Brian Romes, of Grafton, Deanna Romes-Gregg, of Lorain, and Chris (Cortney Coleman-Hopkins) Romes, of Lorain, sister-in-laws; Gayle (Ken) Parker, of KY and Brenda Marrero, of Lorain, as well as all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Kelly was preceded in death by her beloved dog, “Harley”, her father and mother-in-law, Neal and Ginny (Huhn) Tressel, and grandparents; Arlene J. and Robert J. Ruth, William Huhn, Helen Temple, and Nealon and Wanda Tressel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July19, 2018, from 2 – 8 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
