Kenneth Anderson's Obituary
Kenneth Anderson, age 77, from Pikeville, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17th, 2021, after a lengthy illness. He was born August 15th, 1944 at his childhood home. He attended John’s Creek High School. Kenneth moved to Lorain, Ohio in 1967 during the manufacturing boom. Kenneth retired from US Steel after serving as a crane operator for 34 years. He was an active member of Little Edna Old Regular Baptist Church and loved his church family and friends. He never met a stranger. His hobbies included admiring classic cars, especially his green 1977 Mercury, camping, and spending time with his family.
Left to mourn his death is his wife of 28 years, Dianne Thuemling-Anderson, his daughters, Kimberly Keathley and Angie Anderson, both of Lorain, and son, Kenneth A. Anderson, of Elyria Township, grandchildren, Savannah, Zack, Brittney, and Ty, his great-grandson, Junebug (Arsie), a brother, Eldee Anderson (Fairy), of Kimper, Kentucky, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Landon R. Anderson, his mother Lucy Chapman Anderson, his first wife Myrtle Jean Hamilton Anderson (1992), his mother and father in law, Arnold and Melvina Hamilton, brothers, Harold (Josie), Carl (Emma Do), Reapherd (Susie), Grayson (deceased as infant), Clifford (deceased as infant), Clinton (Pat), sisters, Josephine Harris (Oliver), and Beatrice Anderson (deceased as infant),and Ruth Thornsberry (Frank).
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21st, from 3-7 pm at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd, at 10:00 am, at Little Edna Old Regular Baptist Church, 5160 Bond Avenue, Sheffield Township. Brother Larry Newsom will be officiating.
