Kevin Michael Monn's Obituary
Kevin Michael Monn, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus at the age of 46. Born on August 29, 1977, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, Kevin was the cherished son of Dale and Georgia L. (nee Johnson) Monn.
Kevin spent his formative years in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, where he graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1996. He built a dedicated career as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Strongsville, Ohio, and resided in Elyria, Ohio. Known for his sense of humor and unwavering loyalty, Kevin found immense joy in spending time with his wife and daughter.
A true sports enthusiast, Kevin was a passionate fan of the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Football, and the Cleveland Guardians. Thursdays were a highlight for him, filled with playing trivia with friends. His love for sports extended to fantasy football and baseball, which he eagerly participated in each season. Kevin also cherished the outdoors, particularly the fishing trips he took with his father and brothers.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Victoria "Torry" (nee Sutowski) Monn, and his beloved daughter, Abigail (Chase Monschein) Monn. He leaves behind his loving parents, Dale and Georgia “Jodi” Monn; his sister, Trisha (Todd) Mizen; brothers, Jeffrey (Terese) Monn and Gregory Monn; and brother-in-law, Brian Sutowski. He was a proud uncle to Benjamin (Stephanie) Novak, Amanda Novak, Anna Monn, Emily (Angelo) Geraci, Michael Mizen, Thomas Mizen, Alexander Monn, and Evan Monn. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edna Rubel, Clark Johnson, Dorothy Monn, and Glenn Monn.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, June 25th. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center.
