Larry Wayne Rye's Obituary
Larry Wayne Rye, age 69, passed away on May 5, 2017 in Oberlin, Ohio. He was born on February 24, 1948 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Boyd and Ruby Rye. Larry was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge from the Army, he was employed by the Ford Motor Company until his retirement. Larry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debbie, & his children Wayne (Meghan) Rye of Pittsburgh, Pa, James Rye of Bay Harbor, Fl, Kerry Rye of Delray Beach, Fl, & Angie Scott (Ashley Miller) of Oberlin, Oh., and his grandchildren Kelly, Brett, Kaylin, Mackenzie, Abagail, Stephen, Aiden, & Arya; his brother, Joseph (Cindy) Rye; and his sister Brenda (Arthur) Lash of Detroit, MI., as well as many nieces and nephews. The Rye family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Military Honors conducted by the Louis Paul Proy DAV Chapter 20 at 6:00 p.m. at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001.
