Laura Lee Berki's Obituary
Laura Lee Berki, (nee Zaroslinski) age 74, of Amherst passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center.
She was born on April 8, 1944 in Lorain, Ohio to Joseph and Anna (nee Kokinda) Zaroslinski. As a young girl Laura attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and school. She was a graduate of Lorain High School and a faithful member of the Lorain Hungarian Reformed Church for the past 50 years.
Laura retired from the US Steel Credit Union in 1971 to raise her family. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters and was especially fond of the Alfred Dunner clothing line in which she was the recipient of the 2014 Fan of All Seasons award. Talking and having lunch with her lifelong friends was always something that she truly enjoyed. Laura was an exceptionally wonderful mother and friend to all who met her. Her greatest joy was the time that she spent with her loving husband, John and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John D. Berki; daughters, Jennifer (Les) Varga, of Cumming, GA, Karen (Robert) Monard, of Perrysburg, OH, and Lesley (Brad) Moore, of Wakeman, OH; and four grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, Aaron, and Madelyn Varga.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Zaroslinski; and her brother, William Zaroslinski.
