Laura Elizabeth Kanzius' Obituary
Laura Elizabeth Kanzius (nee Kimes), age 97, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice.
Born December 8, 1919 in Bishop, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Cecil Township High School in 1939, then moved to Lorain in 1951.
She was loved by all and had many interests and talents.
Surviving is her son, Joseph M. (Sharon) Kanzius of Wilmington, Ohio; a daughter. Melody (William) Heidrich of Lorain, and Jolene Kanzius of North Carolina; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph in 2000; parents, Martin and Anna Kimes; daughters, Carol Richards and Joy Snyder; brothers, Martin Kimes and Edmund Kimes; and sisters, Dorothy Mae Alderson and Evelyn Roberts.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Amherst. Rev.
