Lauren Blair Ward's Obituary
Lauren Blair Ward, of Vermilion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 31, 2014 at home in the presence of her family.
She was born November 16, 1989 in Elyria. She graduated from Firelands High School in 2008. She then attended Lorain County JVS and completed the medical assistant program.
Lauren was currently employed at the Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Amherst.
She enjoyed spending time with her son and her friends.
Lauren is survived by her son Brent Dean Meadows; parents Patrick and Bonnie (nee Briscoe) Ward of Vermilion; sisters Jessica Ward of Stone Gap, Virginia, and Kate Ward of Vermilion; brother Patrick Ward of Vermilion; paternal grandmother Rita A. Ward of Grafton; maternal grandmother Joyce Briscoe of Santa Clarita, CA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Patrick Joseph Ward, and her maternal grandfather Gary Dayle Briscoe Sr.
The Ward family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Sandra King, Chaplain at Mercy Regional Medical Center, will officiate.
The family invites friends to join them at a Celebration of Life Reception immediately following the funeral service at Celebrate, 4803 Liberty Ave., Vermilion (in the South Shore Plaza).
